A court filing shows that Julie, Kerri and Mike Kasem are seeking a conservatorship and durable power of attorney for health care.
Julie Kasem and her husband, Dr. Jamil Aboulhosn, presented papers signed by her father in 2007 giving them power of attorney over his health care in the event he was unable to make such decisions himself.
Kasem's children claim their stepmother, Jean Kasem, has prevented them from seeing their father.
They contend that Kasem's wife refuses to tell them the name of their father's primary care physician and they are unable to check on his condition.
The 81-year-old radio icon is suffering from Parkinson's disease. He retired from radio hosting in 2009.
