Olivia Newton-John to begin Vegas show at Flamingo

LAS VEGAS

The 65-year-old singer and actress on Tuesday announced a headlining residency at The Flamingo. She will perform 45 shows at the Donny and Marie Showroom, starting April 8.

"I am thrilled to be able to call Las Vegas home for a while," Newton-John said in a statement. "I have performed here many times through the years and have had nothing but wonderful memories and I look forward to even more fun at the Flamingo. I am especially thrilled that a portion of every ticket sold will benefit the Olivia Newton-John Cancer and Wellness Centre."

Producers say the show will be a "musical journey" through Newton-John's career and will feature Grease classics "Hopelessly Devoted to You" and "You're the One That I Want."

It will also feature hits from her other films, including "Xanadu," as well as songs from her recent album "Grace and Gratitude."

Dates for the show, which is called "Summer Nights," are scheduled through August. Tickets go on sale Friday starting at $69.
