Arlington Heights shooting may be gang related; teen shot multiple times

ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- A teenager was hospitalized after being shot multiple times in Arlington Heights. Police believe the attack may have been gang related.

The incident happened shortly before 10 p.m. Thursday at Wilton Place and 15th Street.

Los Angeles police from the Olympic Division said two male suspects approached the teen and opened fire. Ten shots were fired, and the teen was struck several times. Authorities said the suspects fled on foot.

The victim was rushed to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, where he was reported to be in stable condition and expected to survive.

Police say the shooting could be gang related.

A search was underway for the suspects.
