ANAHEIM, Calif. (KABC) -- Take an important step in the fight against autism and join ABC7 and Autism Speaks for Walk Now for Autism Speaks: Orange County, Sunday, December 7, at Angel Stadium of Anaheim.



Walk Now for Autism Speaks unites the community in support of those affected by autism with a Walk and Community Resource Fair, raising funds for autism research, awareness and outreach. It is a family-friendly event with activities for the children, resources for families, light refreshments and entertainment. So come out and join ABC7's own Eyewitness News members, Phillip Palmer, Eileen Frere and Ric Romero and join the fast-growing, family-friendly community dedicated to raising money to find a cure for autism.

9 a.m. - Rolling Walk Start Begins


9:30 a.m. - Opening Ceremonies Begin



Autism Speaks is dedicated to increasing awareness of autism spectrum disorders, to funding research into the causes, prevention, treatments and cure for autism, and to advocating for the needs of affected families. Autism is a lifelong neurological disorder that impairs a person's ability to communicate and relate to others. Autism is the fastest growing serious developmental disorder in the United States. More children will be diagnosed with autism this year than with AIDS, diabetes and cancer combined.
