LONG BEACH, Calif. (KABC) -- The Port of Long Beach welcomed the world's largest container ship, named the Benjamin Franklin, on Thursday.
The ship, which brought goods from China, is wider than a football field and as tall as a 20-story building.
People can view the ship from the waterfront area east of the Long Beach Convention Center and from sections of Alamitos Beach.
It was the ship's first trip to the Long Beach Harbor, and last year, it made a stop at the Port of Los Angeles.
