Hiker finds body in Angeles National Forest

ANGELES NATIONAL FOREST, Calif. (KABC) -- A body was found on a hiking trail in the Angeles National Forest, north of Glendora.

A hiker discovered the body late Saturday afternoon on the Prairie Fork Road Hiking Trail, which is about 3 miles north of Heaton Flats.

The hiker contacted his girlfriend, who notified the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department. Homicide detectives and the coroner responded.

There was no immediate word on the gender or identity of the victim.
