These are the best cities to celebrate St. Patrick's Day

When it comes to St. Patrick's Day celebrations, no city shows off its Irish pride quite like Boston.

Wallethub released its list of the best and worst cities for St. Patrick's Day in 2016, with the Massachusetts capital placing at the top of of the list. Factors including number of Irish pubs per capita, average beer price, forecasted weather on the holiday itself and lowest price of a three-star hotel on St. Patrick's Day to determine the rankings.

Wallethub's research shows though that just because you live in a big city, doesn't necessarily mean that it's a good city to celebrate St. Patrick's Day. New York and Los Angeles ranked below 30 on the list, with each city lacking in affordable St. Patrick's Day amenities. Chicago was tied with Kansas City for the most amount of St. Patrick's Day parties and festivals per capita, but the Windy City still had the highest beer prices out of any location on the list.

Cities like Seattle and St. Louis praised for their amount of Irish Pubs and restaurant and access to bars, while sunny spots like Orlando and Albuquerque, N.M. were celebrated for their affordable St. Patrick's Day offerings.

If you're looking for a safe place to celebrate the holiday, Boise, Idaho and Irvine, Calif. were praised for their low crime rates and number of DUI-related incidents.
