BOYLE HEIGHTS, LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- A 20-year-old man was shot and killed Saturday night near a Metro station in Boyle Heights. The gunman remained at large.
The shooting was reported at about 7:15 p.m. Soto and First streets. Los Angeles County sheriff's investigators said the man was approached by three 20-year-old men by the street elevators of the train station, which led to a verbal argument.
One suspect then pulled out a handgun and shot the victim several times. All three suspects fled the scene.
The victim was taken to a hospital, where he died.
Gold Line trains bypassed the Soto/First Street station as authorities investigated the scene, Metro officials said.
