CORONA, Calif. (KABC) -- The Huskies of Centennial High School in Corona were big dogs on National Signing Day, with 20 athletes from multiple sports signing letters of intent with colleges.

The Riverside County school's football team, which went 14-1 this season, saw 11 of its athletes commit to college programs, including Division I schools like Notre Dame and Air Force Academy.

All-state wide receiver Javon McKinley fielded 21 scholarship offers from big programs throughout the country. Though he grew up idolizing the University of Southern California's teams, he ultimately signed with rival Notre Dame, saying it offered the best combination of a business degree with early chances to play.

"It's so rewarding to see," said Coach Matt Logan. "They have to be student-athletes in order to do that. That's what makes me so proud."

Among Southern California college programs, USC had the 11th best recruiting class in the nation, while UCLA placed 14th, according to ESPN's rankings.
