LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- Children's Hospital Los Angeles limited access Thursday after receiving a phone call threatening the safety of the hospital.
The hospital was not placed on lockdown, and remained fully operational with some limited access and "heightened security measures in place".
LAPD officers responded to the hospital, as patients and staff were allowed in and out.
"We take these threats very seriously, as the safety of our patients, staff and family is our first priority," the hospital said in a statement.
Details about the threat were not immediately released.
