CHINO, Calif. (KABC) -- A man appearing to wear a werewolf mask entered a check cashing store in Chino and shot at a contractor installing security bars during a suspected robbery on Friday.
He "entered into the rear he displayed his firearm, a hand gun, shot the victim and then fled out the rear," said Tamrin Olden with the Chino Police Department.
The incident occurred shortly before noon. The victim was listed in stable condition.
Armand Soliano witnessed the shooting and said his co-worker was grazed in the head.
"He thought it was a joke," Soliano said in Spanish.
The gunman "didn't speak. He didn't say a word. He shot him in the head for no reason," Soliano added.
The suspect ran from the business before police arrived. Investigators spent the day collecting evidence in the hopes of identifying the suspect.
"The only description we have available was a male adult, dark complexion. He did have a mask on covering him so the description is very limited," Olden said.
Anyone with information is asked to call the Chino Police Department at (909) 628-1234.
