CERRITOS, Calif. (KABC) -- Shoppers filled Southern California malls on Friday, Boxing Day, to return or exchange gifts they received on Christmas.

Retailers are advising customers to be familiar with their return policies before heading out the door.

Stores are also on the lookout for return fraud. The National Retail Federation expects retailers to lose $3.8 billion to return fraud this holiday season. This includes people who are returning used or stolen items.

A hot-ticket item for bargain hunters? Christmas decorations. Folks lined up outside home decor store Stats in Pasadena early Friday morning to snag deep discounts at their annual post-Christmas sale.
