Disney Channel star Debby Ryan arrested on suspicion of driving drunk in LA

LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- Disney star Debby Ryan was arrested on suspicion of drunk driving in Los Angeles, authorities said.

The actress was arrested for felony DUI near 1st Street and La Brea Avenue, where LAPD said she struck a black Mercedes-Benz around 11:30 a.m. April 5.

According to the city attorney's office, the 22-year-old faces two misdemeanor counts - driving under the influence and driving with a blood alcohol level of .08 or above.

Ryan was the star of the Disney Channel series "Jessie" and also had a recurring role in "The Suite Life on Deck," also with the Disney Channel.

Further details surrounding the arrest were not immediately available.
