LA Supervisor Antonovich wants $25K reward in chemical attacks on dogs

LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- Los Angeles County Supervisor Michael Antonovich is increasing the reward he wants offered for information on the recent chemical attacks on dogs in the Antelope Valley.

Antonovich initially said he would ask the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors next week to approve a $10,000 reward for the person or persons who harmed the dogs.

However, Wednesday night, he announced on social media that he would bump that amount to $25,000.

Four dogs were found suffering burn injuries from battery acid or some type of corrosive material last week. Two of those dogs were so severely injured, they had to be euthanized.

The other two plus another dog found with similar injuries on Wednesday are continuing to recover.

All of these cases are being investigated by the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department.
