7 injured after Metro bus crashes into SUV, building in downtown Los Angeles

DOWNTOWN LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- Seven people were rushed to hospitals after a Metro bus crashed into an SUV, then slammed into a building in downtown Los Angeles early Wednesday morning.

The wreck occurred around 1 a.m. on Broadway and Olympic Boulevard.

The bus struck the SUV, veered onto a sidewalk and into a building.

A total of seven people were involved in the crash - six on the bus and one in the SUV.

Three people were listed in critical condition, and four people were treated for non-critical injuries. All patients were expected to survive, fire officials said.

The cause of the crash was under investigation.
