Man stabbed to death at Santa Ana nightclub

SANTA ANA, Calif. -- A 23-year-old man was killed after he was stabbed during a fight at a downtown Santa Ana nightclub Thursday night.



Officers responded to a call about a stabbing at the Underground DTSA club in the 200 block of East 3rd Street around 10:37 p.m.



Authorities said the victim, later identified as Nathan Joe Alfaro from Westminster, was listening to music when he got into an altercation with another man.



That man stabbed Alfaro in the upper torso and fled in an unknown direction, police said.



After Alfaro was stabbed, he walked out of the club and collapsed on the street. He was transported to a local hospital in critical condition and later died from his injuries.



The suspect was described as a Hispanic man in his 20s, around 5 feet 6 inches tall, wearing a black shirt.
