LOS ANGELES -- Beyonce and Jay Z kicked off the promotion of their upcoming joint "On The Run" tour on May 17 with a fake star-studded movie trailer called "RUN."
The short film, which runs 3 minutes and 44 seconds, includes cameos by Sean Penn, Don Cheadle, Jake Gyllenhaal, Blake Lively, Emmy Rossum, Guillermo Diaz and sisters Rashida and Kidada Jones.
The couple revive their "'03 Bonnie & Clyde" and "Part II (On The Run)" vibe as they play outlaws/bank robbers on the run (ha!) from law enforcement. At one point, Beyonce swims in a pool with money and, in a separate scene, has a heart-to-heart with Lively.
In other scenes, Jay Z meets up with Penn in a strip club and later the rapper trades barbs with Cheadle. Gyllenhaal acts creepy and Beyonce and Jay Z ride a motorcycle together.
"Part II (On The Run)," a song off Jay Z's recent album "Magna Carta ... Holy Grail" that features Beyonce, plays in the background throughout the clip, which was directed by Melina Matsoukas. Matsoukas also directed Beyonce's "Pretty Hurts" video as well as many other videos for artists like Rihanna, Jennifer Lopez and Ne-Yo.
The trailer ends with the words "COMING NEVER" in big letters across the screen. Beyonce and Jay Z's "On The Run" kicks off on June 25 at the Sun Life Stadium in Miami, and comes to the Los Angeles area in August for two nights at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena.
