LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- The stars of "Napoleon Dynamite" celebrated the hit comedy's 10th anniversary Monday at a special screening of the film at the Los Angeles Contemporary Museum of Art's Bing Theatre.

Jon Heder, who played Napoleon, said the movie changed his life.

"It's such a weird collision of good," Heder said. "It was my first film that I ever did. I love the character."

For co-star Efren Ramirez, who grew up in East Los Angeles, being in this movie meant the world to him.

"I tried so much just to prove to my family and people in my neighborhood, that, you know what? This is possible, that I can act and I can play roles," Ramirez said.

Shondrella Avery, who played Lawfawnduh, agreed.

"Really, it truly did change my life. It really has given us such clarity and vision on what great storytelling is about," Avery said.
