HOLLYWOOD (KABC) -- Fourteen years and seven films later, "Fast & Furious" will officially became a permanent attraction at Universal Studios Hollywood on Wednesday.

Car Specialist Dave Kunz was treated to a sneak peek on Tuesday, which was complete with a red-carpet and the film franchise's stars. The hydraulic motion-based ride gives riders a sense of being right in the middle of the car-centric action films, including bumps, jumps and engine noises.

"It's a very big deal and it definitely is an ultimate toast to all of the fans around the world," Tyrese Gibson said. "We wouldn't be here without them.

Gibson, Vin Diesel, Michelle Rodriguez, Dwayne Johnson and several other of the film's stars participated in the making of "Fast & Furious - Supercharged," which features cutting-edge, hyper-realistic special effects, including 3D-HD imagery projected onto the world's most expansive 360-degree screens.

"We came up with a bunch of new technologies that makes you feel like you're racing through the streets of L.A. at 120 miles an hour," said Chick Russell, executive producer for Universal Creative.

An eighth chapter in the turbo-charged "Fast and Furious" franchise is in the works.
