MOORPARK and DOCKWEILER STATE BEACH, Calif. (KABC) -- From early fireworks to late-night bonfires, thousands across Southern California got a jump on celebrating the Fourth of July holiday.
At Moorpark, more than 10,000 people came together for the city's annual tradition of celebrating Independence Day a day early.
Meanwhile, visitors arrived early and settled down at Dockweiler State Beach to reserve a spot for bonfires. The beach, also a popular area for camping, had its RV Park fill up weeks ago.
