Garden Grove man killed after crashing into block wall

GARDEN GROVE, Calif. (KABC) -- A 19-year-old Garden Grove man was killed after colliding with a block wall and telephone pole Saturday morning.

Authorities said around 2 a.m. residents called about a small compact car crashing into a wall and pole near Chapman Avenue and Jennifer Lane.

Emergency services personnel found the driver pinned to his seat and he was pronounced dead at the scene.

It was unclear if alcohol or drugs played a role in the crash. The investigation was ongoing.
