LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- The "Hidden Cash" frenzy is back in Los Angeles. Jason Buzi, who is behind @HiddenCash, returned Thursday with more cash and new clues.

He has ditched the envelopes from before and has put some money in trees and some in small containers. Several lucky people found money containers at Lake Balboa Park Thursday morning. Some containers had as much as $200.

For this Southern California trip, Buzi said he will be doing day and night money drops on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. On Sunday, there will only be a morning one. He said at least one of the drops will be in Orange County and one in the Inland Empire.

On Wednesday night, Buzi prepped L.A. by tweeting, "LA: For tomorrow: They always told me money doesn't grow on trees. They lied. 10 AM for more clues," along with a photo of money paper-clipped to a tree.

Buzi, a real-estate investor, began hiding cash around San Francisco in May and dropped hints about the location under the Twitter handle @HiddenCash. He then expanded to Southern California, drawing crowds of people to places like Los Feliz, Boyle Heights and Hermosa Beach.

He has since made money drops in other states. Buzi says he does it because it's fun.

"I kind of made a lot of money in real-estate and decided I wanted to do something fun to bring people together in a fun way, not your typical charity way," said Buzi.
