Hillary Rodham Clinton is in Los Angeles to promote her book, in which she recounts her time as secretary of state.

LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- Hillary Rodham Clinton was in Los Angeles on Thursday to promote her book "Hard Choices," in which she recounts her time as secretary of state.

The former first lady arrived at the Barnes and Noble at The Grove at 11:30 a.m. and signed copies of her book for about two hours.

"I think it's very important to meet a woman who has done so much politically for this country and for the world and hopefully will be the first woman president of the United States," said Lou Sexon of Palm Springs

Some people began arriving at The Grove Wednesday night, even though they were not allowed to line up until 5 a.m. By 8 a.m., the line extended through The Grove to 3rd Street and wrapped around the block.

"I want to be a part of history. I wanted to support the first female president," said Dr. Mary Flowers of Los Angeles.

Clinton has been on a national media blitz to promote her book, which has some controversial sections. In one part, she took responsibility for the deaths of four Americans in the Benghazi attack.

She did not take any questions at the book signing.

Despite speculation she is preparing for another White House run in 2016, Clinton has said she hasn't made that decision yet.

Clinton also attended a dinner sponsored by not-for-profit law group Public Counsel, where she received the William O. Douglas Award and deliver a speech. At the sold-out dinner, she joked about the future, all without mentioning the word "campaign."
