New parking restrictions in place near Hollywood Sign

HOLLYWOOD, LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- The Los Angeles City Council approved new parking restrictions Tuesday for several neighborhoods in Beachwood Canyon near the Hollywood Sign.

Now, the only people allowed to park on the streets seven days a week are residents with a Los Angeles Department of Transportation permit.

Residents hope the new rules will alleviate competition for limited parking in the area.
