WEST HOLLYWOOD, Calif. (KABC) -- A strip mall fire caused damage to celebrity tattoo artist Kat Von D's shop in West Hollywood early Thursday morning.
Fire officials say smoke and flames were seen coming from the attic area of the single-story strip mall in the 1200 block of North La Brea Avenue shortly after 4 a.m.
Among the four units in the mall, authorities said Kat Von D's High Voltage Tattoo and Trendsetters Barber Shop received damage in the fire.
No injuries were reported. The exact extent of the damage was not immediately known. Brian Jordan with the L.A. County Fire Department said some property was moved to a safe location as a safeguard from the flames.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
The blaze was knocked down at approximately 4:30 a.m.
