LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- Burglars went on a crime spree in Woodland Hills, hitting several homes within a few hours on Wednesday.

The area is east of Topanga Canyon and north and south of the 101 Freeway. Seven burglaries happened between 7 a.m. and 1 p.m. Wednesday.

No one was home during any of the break-ins, but in one case, a housekeeper entered a home when a burglary was in progress.

Police believe two suspects knocked on the doors to see if anyone was home, and then entered the residence from the back.

The first suspect was described as a male black, between 18 to 20 years old, 6 feet to 6 feet 3 inches tall and about 200 pounds, with medium build and last seen wearing a gray sweatshirt and black pants.

The second suspect was only described as a male black, between 18 to 20 years old.

The LAPD says the burglary suspects were driving a 2009 to 2014 silver Acura TL with tinted windows, a sunroof and brown paper plates.

The suspects mostly went after jewelry, and at one home, they took collector coins. Police say both items can easily be sold to pawn shops.
