BARTON FLATS, Calif. (KABC) -- The threat of dry lightning in the San Bernardino National Forest, where the Lake Fire continues to burn, has authorities on high alert on Monday.
Experts with the U.S. Forest Service National Predictive Services Program are constantly monitoring the weather in preparation.
The massive Lake Fire burning in the San Bernardino National Forest was 60 percent contained, but lightning that comes without rainfall combined with dry brush could spell disaster for the area.
