LAPD pulls off 2 PIT maneuvers to stop alleged DUI driver

DOWNTOWN LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- Los Angeles police used not one - but two PIT maneuvers to stop a possible DUI driver in downtown L.A. early Monday morning.

It all started near Jesse Street and Santa Fe Avenue shortly before 2 a.m. The driver did not heed police orders to pull over.

Police also used spike strips on the 1999 Chevrolet Camaro before the second PIT maneuver did the trick.

Officers took the man into custody.
