ANAHEIM, Calif. -- From newly announced movies to rides and lands under construction at Disney parks around the world, we brought you all the live updates from D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event.

This gathering of official Disney fan club members took place Friday through Sunday, ending with the Disney Legends Award Ceremony at the Honda Center.

New Monsters Inc. Land coming to Hollywood Studios

Disney royalty is in the building! Billy Crystal, the voice of Mike Wazowski from "Monsters Inc.," graced the D23 stage during the Disney Experiences Showcase.

"I've got some news, Josh, that's bigger than a shaggy blue monster that I'm friends with," he said

The big announcement is Monsters Inc. Land is coming to Disney's Hollywood Studios.

Crystal then sang, "If I Didn't Have You," and received a standing ovation.

Disney Experiences Chairman Josh D'Amaro says a new ride in the land will let humans tour Monstropolis' laugh factory. It will be the first suspended coaster ever in a Disney park. Claws will grab laugh factory doors and hoist them in the air.

Construction begins next year.

Tiana's Bayou Adventure opening date for Disneyland announced

Disneyland, it's time to head down to the bayou!

At the D23 Disney Experiences Showcase, it was announced that Tiana's Bayou Adventure will open at Disneyland on Nov. 15.

Indiana Jones, Encanto attractions coming to Disney's Animal Kingdom

With actor Ke Huy Quan on stage, Disney Experiences Chairman Josh D'Amaro announced that an Indiana Jones attraction is coming to Disney's Animal Kingdom.

D'Amaro says it will be a completely new story with construction beginning this fall to transform Dinoland USA into the Tropical Americas.

Taking place in an ancient Mayan temple, where mythical creatures live, Indy sets out to explore and takes guests along with him.

Indiana Jones will be one of two signature attractions.

The second is a major attraction based on "Encanto." It'll be based on the day when Antonio receives his gift to communicate with animals.

New Main Street Opera House show features audio animatronic Walt Disney

For the very first time, an audio animatronic of Walt Disney will play in rotation with "Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln."

The new show for the Main Street Opera House at Disneyland will be called "Walt Disney: A Magical Life."

"We had to wait for innovation to catch up with our dreams," Disney Experiences Chairman Josh D'Amaro said. "And now we're finally ready. Walt's nephew visited imagineering campus and was very moved by the project."
