"Widow's Bay" actor Matthew Rhys won the Emmy for outstanding lead actor in a comedy series.

Rhys, a native of Wales, shouted out his home country in his acceptance speech.

"To the great and good people of Wales ... we are a small but mighty nation," he said.

Also nominated in the category were Yahya Abdul-Mateen II for "Wonder Man," Steve Carell for "Rooster," Jason Segel for "Shrinking" and Martin Short for "Only Murders in the Building."

Sally Field won the Emmy for outstanding lead actress in a limited or anthology series or movie for her performance in "Remarkably Bright Creatures," marking her fourth Emmy win.

"The story of an old woman, a young man and an octopus doesn't come around a lot!" she said in her acceptance speech.

She also gave a shoutout to co-star Lewis Pullman, saying, "I wouldn't be up here if not for the magical talent of Lewis Pullman, who stood next to me the whole time."

Other nominees in the category were Claire Danes for "The Beast in Me," Carey Mulligan for "Beef," Sarah Pidgeon for "Love Story: John F. Kennedy Jr. & Carolyn Bessette" and Sarah Snook for "All Her Fault."

Tom Pelphrey won the Emmy for supporting actor in a drama series for his role in the intense HBO hit show "Task."

Other nominees in this category were Patrick Ball for "The Pitt," Billy Crudup for "The Morning Show," Shawn Hatosy for "The Pitt," Gerran Howell for "The Pitt," Jack Lowden for "Slow Horses," and Carlos-Manuel Vesga for "Pluribus."

In his acceptance speech, Pelphrey gave a heartwarming shoutout to his "favorite actor in this room," his partner, "the very pregnant Kaley Cuoco."

"Our family is the crown jewel of my life!" he said.

Pelphrey and Cuoco welcomed their first child, daughter Matilda, in 2023, and are expecting their second.

Just six months after the "Buffy" reboot was scrapped, stars Sarah Michelle Gellar and David Boreanaz reunited onstage to celebrate the show's 30th anniversary.

After Boreanaz mused whether their characters, Buffy and Angel, would ever get together, Gellar had a sharp retort referencing the cancellation.

"Guess we'll never find out!" Gellar said.

She also acknowledged it had been a tough two years for the show's cast and crew, implicitly acknowledging the recent deaths of actors Anthony Head (Giles), Nicholas Brendon (Xavier) and Michelle Trachtenberg (Dawn).
