LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- At least 27 people are believed to be dead and more than a dozen others remain unaccounted for as multiple wildfires, fueled by severe drought conditions and strong Santa Ana winds, continue burning in Southern California.

The Palisades Fire, burning in the Pacific Palisades, and the Eaton Fire, burning in Altadena, have forced thousands to evacuate and destroyed more than 12,000 structures.

Beloved Malibu restaurant Reel Inn burns down

The Reel Inn, an iconic restaurant in Malibu, has been destroyed by the Pacific Palisades brush fire, the restaurant confirmed.

In a statement posted to Instagram stories, Reel Inn said, "All our staff are safe. We are so grateful for the 36 years we've been a part of the community. Grateful to all our customers. We are heartbroken and unsure what will be left. Hopefully the state parks will let us rebuild when the dust settles. Thank you for all the love and support, Teddy and Andy Leonard."

Cholada Thai, another beloved Malibu restaurant, was also reportedly destroyed on Tuesday.

More than 90 people evacuated from senior living center as Eaton Fire spreads rapidly

The Eaton Fire forced staff at a senior living center to push dozens of residents in wheelchairs and hospital beds down the street to a parking lot. From there, the residents waited for ambulances to evacuate them from the area. More than 90 people were evacuated.

Eaton Fire evacuations in place for Altadena, Pasadena, Arcadia, Sierra Madre

Arcadia residents north of Orange Grove Avenue have been ordered to evacuate due to the Eaton Fire. The city established a temporary shelter at the Arcadia Community Center.

Sierra Madre police also announced areas of the city were under an evacuation order. A map of the Eaton Fire evacuations can be found here.

Parts of Altadena and Pasadena were already under a mandatory evacuation order.

Wildfires force closure of schools across SoCal

Multiple school districts have decided to close all campuses due to the wildfires burning in Southern California. The following school districts are closed Wednesday:

- Asuza Unified School District
- Temple City Unified School District
- Monrovia Unified schools
- Burbank Unified School District schools and school district offices
- Arcadia Unified School District
- All Glendale Unified School District schools, childcare operations, and district offices
- Pasadena Unified School District
