Ventura County officials reported mild to moderate flooding at some intersections over the weekend, but crews are gearing up for another round of rain.
A slope near the intersection of Mission and Highland in Camarillo saw some movement during the weekend storm.
As a precaution, some residents had to evacuate, but county crews were able to redirect some of the runoff on the hillside, so the evacuations didn't last long.
The Mountain Fire burned nearly 20,000 acres last year, scorching vegetation and leaving many areas destabilized.
Some Camarillo residents are hoping for the best with this second storm.
"It looked like to me as far as walking around and riding around here, there's a little bit of residual dirt sliding, but not like it was before," said Kerri Galgas, who lives in Camarillo Heights. "There's some mud coming down, but it's nothing major."
