Man found shot to death near SR-18 in Llano

LLANO, Calif. (KABC) -- Los Angeles County sheriff's homicide detectives are investigating after a man was found shot to death north of State Route 18 in Llano Tuesday afternoon.

The man's body was found around 12:07 p.m. on 233rd Street East, three-tenths of a mile north of State Route 18, officials said.

Palmdale Sheriff's Station deputies had responded to a report of a person down and found a man suffering from a gunshot wound to the upper torso. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

His name was not released pending notification of next of kin. No arrests have been made in the case.
