Long Beach residents recycle bicycles

LONG BEACH, Calif. -- As part of Long Beach's Bike Month activities, Long Beach residents brought their unused bikes to give to better homes.

Riders were asked to drop off any size bike.

The bicycles will be fixed-up and given to families in need through several nonprofit partners.

The Long Beach Department of Public Works teamed up with the community group, Pedal Movement, for the event.
