LONG BEACH, Calif. (KABC) -- A driver was detained Thursday night after striking six people, including five children, with a car in Long Beach.



Long Beach police responded shortly after 7 p.m. at the intersection of Gundry Avenue and Anaheim Street.



Six patients were treated for minor injuries: a mother and five kids ranging in age from 4 to 12 years old. All were transported to local hospitals.



No major injuries were reported. A DUI investigation was underway.
