Developer plans 36-story hotel in Long Beach

LONG BEACH, Calif. -- The southeast corner of Ocean Boulevard and Pine Ave has been vacant for three decades.
One developer wants to change that, in a big way.
A proposed 36-story hotel is being planned, making it the tallest building in Long Beach.
The hotel complex would also include a portion of Victory Park.
The project would create 361 long-term, and 1,701 short-term jobs.
