The weekend will bring a warmup for Southern California even as the first official day of fall arrives.

LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- The weekend will bring a warmup for Southern California even as the first official day of fall arrives.

The system that brought cooler temps and even some precipitation to some areas is tracking away from the region, painting an entirely different weather picture for the weekend and next week.

Los Angeles and Orange counties will see sunshine Saturday with highs in the upper 70s. Temps will hit the mid 80s on Sunday and possibly 90 by Monday.

The valleys and Inland Empire can expect temps in the low 80s on Saturday and climbing up to 90s on Sunday.

Beaches will be in the high 60s on Saturday, climbing to low 70s on Sunday.

Mountains will see a high of just 69 on Saturday with low 70s expected for Sunday.

The desert areas on Saturday a high of 91, with temps expected to reach 96 on Sunday.
