MALIBU, Calif. (KABC) -- It's been one year since the devastating Woolsey Fire. The fire began a storm of destruction, stretching across two counties, from Agoura Hills to the Pacific Ocean.

Jefferson "Zuma Jay" Wagner, a member of the Malibu City Council, took ABC7's Marc Brown on a tour of his devastated community, the home he tried to save and the long road to recovery.

Wagner thought he had saved his home, but burning embers caught his roof. He ended up losing his home.

Wagner, who served as mayor, says the fire's impact is far-reaching, effecting schools and businesses.
