MERCED, Calif. -- Merced County deputies say they are searching for four family members who were kidnapped from a business in Merced.

Deputies are searching for 36-year-old Jasdeep Singh, 27-year-old Jasleen Kaur, their eight-month-old child and 39-year-old Amandeep Singh.

Investigators say the four were taken from a business in the 800 Block of South Highway 59.

"We have a low life out there that kidnapped an 8-month-old baby, her mom, her dad and her uncle," said Merced County Sheriff Vern Warnke. "So far, we have no idea why ... we have no motivation behind it. We just know that they're gone."

The Merced County Sheriff's Office has released pictures of the man they believe to be the suspect.

They say the man should be considered armed and dangerous.

"We've got evidence to indicate that the individuals involved in this destroyed evidence in an attempt to cover their tracks," said Warnke.

The sheriff's office says Amandeep's truck was found on fire Monday morning in a remote area of Merced County near the town of Winton.
