2 missing bikers found safe in Angeles National Forest

ALTADENA, Calif. (KABC) -- Two missing mountain bikers have been found safe in the Angeles National Forest.

Search teams located the two men around 8:35 a.m. Monday and hoisted them out of an area near Altadena. Authorities say the cellphone of one of the bikers pinged about 5 miles north of Woodbury.

The men were reported missing by family members Sunday evening when they didn't return home. It was not immediately known what happened to the two bikers.

Deputies from the Altadena sheriff's station say neither men was injured when they were found.
