Man killed in Monterey Hills drive-by shooting

MONTEREY HILLS, Calif. (KABC) -- A search is underway for whoever killed a 45-year-old man in a drive-by shooting in Monterey Hills.

Los Angeles police said the man was standing next to his truck around 8:45 p.m. Thursday along the 5300 block of Monterey Road when two people drove by and shot him several times.

The man was shot in the head and died at the scene.

It was not clear if the shooting was gang related. A description of the suspects was not immediately available.
