LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- ABC7 viewers across the Southland and our AIR7 HD helicopter captured stunning images of the last supermoon of the year.

The next supermoon won't happen until fall 2016. Supermoons appear up to 1 percent larger than a full moon and shine about 30 percent brighter than normal.
