SOUTH LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- One person was killed early Sunday morning in a violent multi-vehicle crash on the 105 Freeway in South L.A., authorities said.
Three vehicles collided at about 2 a.m. on the eastbound side of the interstate, near Central Avenue, according to a CHP incident log.
The incident prompted a temporary closure of the freeway in both directions at the crash site, the California Highway Patrol said.
News video showed a heavily damaged minivan at the scene, missing its right front tire. A two-door car, its windshield shattered and hood mangled, was pulled onto a flatbed tow truck at the location.
All lanes on the 105 were reopened as of 6:20 a.m., the CHP said.
The cause of the crash was under investigation. null
