MAR VISTA, LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- Three male suspects used a sledgehammer and a crowbar to break into an apartment in Mar Vista Wednesday morning, and then bound two victims with duct tape before stealing a car and a bag of property, police said.

The home-invasion robbery was reported at 2:30 a.m. in the 3500 block of S. Centinela Avenue. All three men wore masks to cover their faces.

One of the two men who were inside the home was punched multiple times in the face. He was treated at the scene for a facial cut and a bloody nose. The second man was not injured.

The bag of property was later found on the property, LAPD Sgt. Gregory Probst said. The stolen car was described as a silver Acura but the license plate number was not immediately available.

The investigation is ongoing. Anyone with further information was asked to contact the Los Angeles Police Department.
