TUSTIN, Calif. (KABC) -- Three teenagers were arrested Tuesday morning for trying to break into Tustin Ranch Elementary School through the skylights, police said.

School security spotted the boys on the roof before dawn and called police to the school on 12950 Robinson Dr. The boys tried to flee but were apprehended by police.

The elementary school has had break in problems for the last six months. Police are looking into the possibility that the youths are responsible for those break-ins as well.

Police said they tried to set a fire with an incendiary device but were unsuccessful. Arson detectives were also called to the scene.
