School bus, car collides in Victorville; 3 adults injured

VICTORVILLE, Calif. (KABC) -- Three adults suffered minor injuries after a bus carrying special education students crashed into a passenger vehicle in Victorville on Tuesday.

The incident occurred at 10:30 a.m. near Palmdale and Cobalt roads. The bus was traveling on Cobalt Road when it was struck by a Honda Accord near the 18 Freeway.

According to the San Bernardino County Fire Department, the bus was carrying four elementary school age children, an aide and the driver. There was only one person in the Honda Accord.

Fire officials said all the kids were OK. However, the drivers and the aide, all adults, received minor injuries.

Authorities said some of the children were released to their parents and others were transported to another bus.

The California Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.
