MacArthur Park Elementary School briefly evacuated due to bomb threat

WESTLAKE DISTRICT, LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- MacArthur Park Elementary School in the Westlake District was briefly evacuated on Tuesday after a bomb threat was phoned in.

Los Angeles police said the threat was called in around 9:35 a.m. A bomb squad and a K-9 unit searched the school grounds.

Officials declared the scene clear around noon, and classes resumed as scheduled.

The phone threat remains under investigation.
