14-year-old boy struck by hit-and-run driver in Santa Ana

SANTA ANA, Calif. (KABC) -- Santa Ana police are asking for the public's help to find a hit-and-run driver who struck a 14-year-old boy early Saturday.

The victim was hospitalized with life-threatening injuries after being struck near the intersection of 5th and Fairview streets at about 8:19 a.m. The driver fled from the scene.

The suspect vehicle involved in a hit-and-run in Santa Ana is believed to be a black 2001-2006 BMW 300-series equipped with an M-series sports package.

Police believe the car that struck the teen is a black BMW 3-series, 2001-2006, equipped with an M-series sports package.
