Compton stabbing suspect search underway

COMPTON, Calif. (KABC) -- Los Angeles sheriff's deputies are searching for a suspect or suspects involved in a stabbing in Compton Tuesday morning.

The victim was transported to an area hospital in unknown condition. A two-block perimeter was established near Alondra Boulevard and Atlantic Drive.

Authorities said the suspects crashed their vehicle near an AMPM and then fled on foot.

The victim was also in a vehicle, but the exact location of the stabbing is unclear.

The incident remains under investigation.
