Man shot, wounded following after-hours party in South Los Angeles

SOUTH LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- A man was shot and wounded following an after-hours party early Wednesday morning in South Los Angeles.

The shooting occurred around 4:30 a.m. at Vermont Avenue and 41st Street.

The man, who is in his 30s, was transported to a local hospital. There was no word on his condition.

The shooting happened near Manual Arts High School.

Authorities had to ask students to enter the school through the north pedestrian gate due to the investigation, but otherwise classes were underway as usual.

Meanwhile, a search was on for the shooting suspect.
